Trained in Graphics and Fine art, Wendy's interests developed in a three dimensional direction when at the Ontario College of Art with her studies in weaving and 3D Tapestry. She soon discovered the joys of creating figures in polyclay, paperclay, gourds and soft sculpture. She has won many awards and several nominations for the "Dolls" magazine, Diamond Awards of Excellence. Her fantasy figures often evolve from found objects. These open up avenues of fantasy to travel in her discovery of a new sculpture.
