Ellen is known for her occasional unorthodox and sometimes loud visualization of life. She lets ardor for the natural world and the Canadian landscape flow through her work.
Not only a painter but also a photographer, she likes to express the spirit of the subject, and her joy and delight in the subject matter using colour and texture in watercolour, acrylic and digital images. She loves experimenting with different techniques and media in her visual art, sometimes mixing them to express her interpretation of the world around her.
Ellen also enjoys using her own images to make original hand cut wooden puzzles.
