Catherine has always been fascinated with stained glass and has made windows for several years, concentrating on the copper foil technique; recently, she began working with fused glass, making pendants that can be worn as unique pieces of jewellery, hung with a ribbon on a Christmas tree or attached as a charm to a parcel for a hostess gift. Her pendents are made by layering glass and then firing in the kiln. She includes a variety of glass in her pieces ranging from opalescent to cathedral to dicroic, and includes copper inserts, sepia and gold decals.
Recently she has begun working with beads and wire to crochet to create necklaces and bracelets, and weaving copper and sterling silver rings to create chain maille bracelets.
