Born in Germany, Antje completed an apprenticeship at a salt-glaze pottery in
Erlangen. She came to Canada in 1983 and completed studies in Art and Design.
Following her graduation she worked as a potter's
assistant for 10 years. In 2000, she opened a studio in Port Sydney, Muskoka and became known for her
unique designs.
In 2010, Antje relocated to the shores of the Georgian Bay. In 2011, she joined with local artists to open Art on the Hill. There you can find her latest pieces as well as textiles, jewelry, pantings and unique crafts. Come visit her at 72 Main St., Penetanguishene.
Antje's pottery is inspired by nature, as reflected in
her rich glazes and creative designs. Besides
functional, durable stoneware pottery she loves
creating one-of-a kind sculptural vases, bowls,
mosaics and mirrors.
